But when you’re a busy professional, it can seem impossible to add self-love into your routine. Where do you have time? We have a few tips to add self-love to your day.
1. Set Your Focus
In the morning, take time to meditate. Say what you’re grateful for and include yourself. Take time to organize your priorities and set your focus for the day.
2. Center Your Energy
While you meditate, center your energy. Clear out bad energy, and replace it with clarity, energy, and focus. You may even want to try a Clear Energy Treatment.
3. Exercise
Exercise shouldn’t be a form of self-punishment or something to cross off your to-do list. Instead, turn it into an act of self-love. You’re exercising to take care of your body, it’s the only one you have. Pay attention to everything it’s capable of. Love it for supporting you.
4. Spend Time in the Sun and Nature
Spending time in nature boosts your mood and relieves stress. The sun provides vital Vitamin D. Take a stroll through a local park on your lunch break. Bring your attention to the moment. Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin. Notice the colors, the wind, the smells and the sounds. When you return to work, you should feel energized and revitalized.
5. Pay Attention to Your Self Talk
What do you say to yourself? Would you say the same things to a close friend? If not, why do you talk like that to yourself? Pay attention to what you say to yourself. Are your complaints valid? Or are they exaggerations. Are they helpful? Or just rude. Remember, you are a work in progress. So it’s okay when you say something rude to yourself. But work on changing your thoughts. 6. Keep a Journal
And write a letter to yourself. Keeping a journal can clear your mind, empty your worries, and organize your projects.
7. Practice Gratitude
You can practice your gratitude in your journal. Or you can send thank you notes. Simply start each sentence with “Thank you for . . .” and finish the sentence, until you run out of things to be grateful for. You feel better for expressing gratitude. This boosts your mood and confidence and changes your outlook on life. And the recipient receives your love and gratitude, and they feel better too.
8. Self-Love Showers
You can turn taking care of yourself into an act of self-love. Use high-quality products, and take your time. Notice the scents of your products. How do the brushes and scrubbers feel against your skin? Be grateful to your body and take care of it. Over time, this can change the way you perceive yourself.
9. Be Kind and Gentle to Yourself
Above all, be kind and gentle to yourself. You are the one person you always have to be with. So be pleasant to be around.
